A mountain out of a mole hill.....

I am reading the book, The Big Leap. In the book the author talks about limiting beliefs and how we can control our beliefs, so we can live a happy and successful life. As I went to bed last night I thought about my limiting beliefs and how they were affecting my life. I refer to my soon to be 12 y.o. daughter as a teenager in all the ways possible. As a result, I am harsh and critical of her when she does things typical of a teenager like not cleaning up after herself and leaving items lying around the house. I realized that I need to think of my daughter as her own being and talk to her about her bad habits and how she can change them (Heck, I do this for a living), so we can cohabit the house peacefully together. We can have the talk this afternoon when we organize her closet, since it contains a mountain of clothes at the moment.
