Awe inspiring

Today I decided to walk to and subway back from the grocery store, rather than drive. On my walk I noticed a man getting pigeons to sit on his hand. For a city where most people think pigeons are a nusaince, he managed to elevate them to creatures of beauty. I was not the only person who stopped to look at the man and the pigeons. On Friday, my mom and I went on a tour of the NYC home of artist, Donald Judd. The house has been preserved as to the day he died in 1994. He installed the furniture in a way that the whole house is an art installation. The home is a marvel of art, minimalism in style and warmth (he raised his kids there until the family moved to Marfa, Texas. I have lived here all my life and still find things in the city that are inspiring and beautiful.
