A brand new day...

When my ex-husband and I got engaged, I said to him, “I cook; I do laundry; You want a clean house that is not me.” So we had a housekeeper and then when I divorced and my daughter no longer needed a nanny (she became our housekeeper too), i moved on to a cleaning service. Every other week my house was spotless for about 24 hours. In light of pandemic, I suspended my cleaning service. In light of the pandemic, I am cleaning the house. After a survey of cleaning products and tools, I realized I didn’t own a mop. I headed to the local chain drugstore and purchased the Libman Freedom Mop (a spray mop). It is like a Swifter, but in my opinion better. What makes it better? Two things. One, the pad is washable and that means less waste going to a landfill. The mop has a refillable chamber for the cleaning fluid, so there is less plastic waste (and you can use the cleaning products you like). Swifter has only disposable pads and only their cleaners fit in the slot for the cleaning fluid bottle. I have decided, that when I am done with my swifter pads and wood floor cleaner, I will replace it with a second Libman Freedom mop, so I have one for wood floors (Murphy’s Oil) and one for tile floors (all purpose cleaner). Thank you, Libman, for making me learn to like cleaning. Now I can say, “I cook. I do laundry. You want a clean house don’t rely on me but i can handle it if needed.”
