You're using that?

You walk into the kitchen to see your long-handled spatula/scraper is being used to get the last bit of lotion out of a tub. Or you pass the bathroom and notice that your small funnel is being used to fill a travel bottle with shampoo. And the next time you go to use these items in your kitchen, you think to yourself, “Ew, gross!” At least this is what I think. To avoid this I earmarked certain items for non-food use. I have a long-handled spatula/scraper that I use for non-food and food containers to clean them out to be recycled. I specifically bought a small funnel to use for filling travel bottles, so it lives in my bathroom. I, even, have a small paring knife I use specifically for cleaning out the wax in my Shabbat Candlesticks. Since I am not George Washington, and I don’t tell lies, I’ll admit something. I have on occasion used a grapefruit spoon to clean out weeds and in repotting plants. That was until I discovered that I had the tool below. I am not even sure what to call it. I just know that it is amazing at prying up weeds and a great aid to repotting plants. Since I use my grapefruit spoons so infrequently I never have a tinge of guilt about the fact they went into the dirt. In fact, this post is reminding me that I have a plant to repot and to use my new found handy tool to help me..
