Hit Reset!

Since you have read my article on reflecting, you may decide that one, some, or all of your goals may need to start over. Time to hit reset! But, how to do it. “Resetting is not about erasing the past or giving up on our dreams. It’s about taking a step back, gaining clarity and perspective, and having the courage to start anew.”— Felecia Etienne

Resetting may include breaking your goals down into many little pieces or even simplifying the goal to make it easier. Goal mapping entails starting with your end in mind and working backward to get to the first step toward reaching the goal. I recommend that you write it down so you can refer to it and check off each step. You can use goal mapping to find clarity in what you want to achieve in your lifetime and what you value too. “Discover how to harness the power of positive thinking and effective goal-setting to transform your dreams into reality. Tune in now to learn from a master in turning life’s obstacles into stepping stones for success.”

You may also want to refer back to my article on SMART goals. Goal Mapping and SMART goals pack a 1-2 punch that goes for the knockout.

I evaluate my goals every quarter to see if I have already achieved any goals and/or changes that need to be made. This way I stay on track. At the very least you should evaluate your goals every six months. Lastly, if you can, find an accountability partner (thank you, Tracy) to help you stay focused, motivated, and on the train to Success Town.
