Zumba, maybe?
According to the Mayo Clinic, “Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — and resistance training.” My problem is I’m not super coordinated, when it comes to fitness classes and I can see myself going left when the whole class is going right. I have decided Zumba needs a cousin: a fitness class based on songs that teach a dance or songs that have a dance associated with them. Through the miracle of YouTube, you can then practice in between classes, so the uncoordinated like me won’t make a fool of themselves. Some songs to consider for the class:
Macarena by Los del Rio
Watch Me by Silento
Cupid Shuffle by Cupid
Hoedown by Miley Cyrus
Cha Cha Slid by Mr. C “the Slide Man”
Electric Slide by Marcia Griffith
Cotton Eye Joe by Red Nex
Now this would be a class I could attend because I could practice (do homework) in between and not bump into anybody. Who’s in?
