Don't call me Crazy!

No, I am not psychic. I don’t have ESP either. I do have a vision board and a clear idea of what I want for my future. My vision for my future is specific and precise. Because you are more able to focus on how to get there (a.k.a road map) if you’re super clear on where you are going.

So here goes…

I plan on becoming such a successful coach that people will seek me out. I will offer 1 day and 2-day programs at my retreat in Bucks County, PA, or Hunterdon County, NJ. MY retreat will consist of a tiny house made of shipping containers and for my guests a Yurt. Yes, you heard me correctly a tiny home and Yurt (don’t worry, I am not leaving NYC completely as I plan to have a pied-a-terre here). A second benefit to this arrangement is that when Sylvie grows up and decides to have a life partner (however that looks) and kids (I pray to G-d!) the kids can stay with Grandma and the parents can have some alone time. I know first hand that this is a need for parents with kids 18 y.o. and younger.

My vision board— a work in progress.

My vision board— a work in progress.

I will still have a dog, although my current dog may have passed on to doggy heaven by then. I will still be eating healthy, exercising, and being active in my Jewish faith and heritage. And I can say I won’t pass up an opportunity to travel. When I was 21 y.o. I told my friend Lisa that when I retired I wanted to own a flat on a canal in Venice. The full idea was she would own a flat in the building too so she would have a painting studio in Italy (she has a BFA in Paitinging). However, now she is a full-time real estate agent. One and half years ago after my trip to Paris, I told her that it might be an apartment in Paris instead. She couldn’t believe that I was still planning on a European home in retirement. My mother can tell you that when I decide something about my life, I don’t give it up at all or easily.

Oh, I left out something that is my romantic life. Will I still be with the same boyfriend I have now? Only time will tell, but I hope so. Unfortunately, his cats (he has 3), while adorable won’t be welcome at my retreat as my daughter is allergic and I would like the Yurt to remain as free of allergy-inducing “stuff” as possible.

Now my vision is out to the universe and all I can do is continue putting my vision board together, work towards this big vision, and hope that people don’t think I am crazy. See both the European apartment and Yurt can be posted on Air BNB when not in use by myself or clients. Oh, I got another idea…coaching in Paris or Venice.
